COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
On Us is a neighbourhood, not a shouting match. These are the few rules that keep it that way.
Come correct
Talk to people the way you'd talk to them on your own block. Disagree all day, but keep it human.
No hate
Slurs, dehumanising language, and attacks on someone's race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability are removed. This one isn't negotiable.
No harassment
Don't pile on, follow someone around the app, or keep contacting a person who asked you to stop. Block and mute are there for you too.
No threats or violence
Threatening harm, celebrating harm, or organising it gets an account removed straight away.
No spam or scams
No fake giveaways, cash-app flips, crypto pitches, bulk DMs, or links pretending to be something they aren't.
Respect privacy
Don't post someone's address, phone number, documents, or private messages without their say-so.
Marketplace honesty
Describe items truthfully, price them clearly, ship what you sold, and answer your buyers. No counterfeits, weapons, drugs or live animals.
Business promotions
Promote your own business, not someone else's, and keep claims true. Paid promotion is always labelled as promoted.
Protect the young
No sexual content involving minors, ever, and nothing that puts a child at risk. We remove it and keep the record.
Reporting something
Every post, comment, listing, group and message has a report option. Tell us what's wrong in a sentence — a person reads it. Reporting is private; the other member never sees who reported them.
Something broken, rather than someone? Use Report a problem.
If we get it wrong
When something of yours is removed or your account is limited, you'll be told why and you can appeal from Settings. Appeals go to a person, not a machine. Repeated serious breaks of these rules end an account.
